First tomato harvest of 2018

I had to move the little ladybug hanging on the leaf.

Three little sun golds.

A little olive oil, salt and pepper- nice snack.

Ok that was a little ridiculous. But I’m not sure if I’m going to get any others so I thought I’d enjoy them in style.

They were delicious! I love sun golds, next year I’ll put three plants in early. Hopefully that will help me out with yield next year.

The plant is alive- in the next few days I’ll try to show how much new growth there is, and there’s a few baby tomatoes still growing- but let’s be honest; it hasn’t been the best weather for tomatoes, so if I only get these three, it is what it is.

    1. I’m so sorry! Tomatoes are so dependent on weather- and they’re so finicky! Even though I don’t have any ripe one yet, I’m loving my pepper plants, if only because if the winter is mild I might be able to turn them into a perennial and get more peppers next summer. Can’t do that with tomatoes *sigh*
